Rob Grant

Rob has a lifetime interest in practical and theoretical engineering. Being a director of multiple engineering-based companies since 2004.

His engineering interest started at a young age when he was an apprentice to his father, recording engineer Keith Grant. Rob spent most of his summers in and out of recording studios and orchestral performances, always providing technical assistance.

Rob started his career after leaving engineering college and university working in the super yacht industry designing and installing mechanical systems in the marine industry, focusing on high-end bespoke and custom installations both in mechanical and electrical. A demand for problem-solving and attention to detail is the requirement.

Rob then went on to focus on his first love audio, starting up Sculptured Sounds LTD. This was a high-end audio-visual and IT business catering for large offices, bars, nightclubs, private cinemas, and commercial premises.

The success of this business and a desire to manufacture his own products took him to start R Concepts LTD a bespoke engineering company based at Pinewood, Shepperton Studios in 2014. This company focussed on Rob's passions of one-off projects, RnD, and Custom design. Offering an in-house service taking clients from ideas to completed projects, set up to work under extreme deadlines to cater to the film industry.

R Concepts has designed and built everything from Formula One and aeronautical components to fusion reactor parts to children's toys and everything in between.
